The university offers courses of study focusing on veterinary medicine, veterinary hygiene and ecology and pharmacy taught in both Czech and English.

The institute provides teaching of foreign languages and history of veterinary medicine. In the field of language education it focuses on Latin, English and German. In the field of teaching the history of veterinary medicine, it focuses on the cultural and professional history of veterinary medicine and on ethical issues in the veterinary profession.

The institute provides credit, elective and recreational physical education instruction. A renovated sports hall is available for all forms of physical education. Students can use the sports facilities either within the elective subject Sport or as members of the University Sports Club of UVPS Brno.

The faculty implements education in bachelor and master degree programs in food safety and quality and veterinary hygiene. It is one of two faculties providing veterinary education in the Czech Republic and is an exceptional institution with its current level of education.
