The department provides instruction in chemistry with a focus on organic chemistry. Conducts research focused on synthesis methods, reaction cyclization, reaction mechanism, or reactivity of heterocyclic systems.

The department provides teaching in economic theory, national economy, economic policy, administration and European economic, administrative and cultural studies. The study specializes in general economic theory, world economics, economic policy, and the history of economic theory.

The department prepares future teachers of Czech language and literature. The study focuses on linguistic bohemistics and didactics of the Czech language. It also specialises in 19th and 20th century literature and youth literature, literary criticism, artistic performance, didactics or text interpretation.

We offer studies in Macedonian studies, Bulgarian studies, Balkan studies, Belarusian studies or Sorabian studies. We focus on philological and real studies, literary comparative studies and translation studies.

Teaching in the field of physical education and health education. The program focuses on healthy nutrition, addictions, somatology, the role of physical activity, and issues such as mental health crises and bullying.

The main focus of the department is research and application of low temperature plasma and ionized gases, which are studied from theoretical and experimental point of view. The department also specializes in plasma diagnostics, plasma modification or simulation, atmospheric discharges or atomic spectrochemistry.

The department provides teaching of biological-geological disciplines and ecological-environmental issues. Specializes in inanimate nature, invertebrates or zoology and ecology. The study includes thematic field exercises and school-based internships focused on geological-mineralogical exercises.
