The department provides teaching of business economics and management. The profiling subjects are related to the areas of management, marketing, human resources development, logistics and psychology. The subjects taught enable students to understand the activities of an enterprise in all their interdependence.

Teaching the folk culture of the Czech Republic in the context of theoretical and methodological currents in Europe, study of ethno-cultural relations and contexts in Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe. We conduct field research focused on the ethnographic regions of Moravia and southern Wallachia.

The Institute provides Czech language studies for future secondary school teachers and those interested in working in various educational and scientific institutions or in the media. Teaching specialises in the history and theory of Czech literature, children's literature or the didactics of Czech language and literature.

The laboratory is devoted to research on molecular physiology of plants and analysis of biologically significant molecular complexes. It also specialises in the molecular basis of cellular and tissue regulation or plant hormones. We use biological, biochemical, biophysical and genetic techniques for our research.

Independent research institute focusing on the study of issues related to the political, social, economic and legal development of society. The institute contributes to the cultivation and development of political science, international relations and European studies. It organises conferences, seminars and lectures.

The department provides instruction in biochemistry and biomolecular chemistry.

The Central Faculty Library offers lending, reference and research services and provides access to electronic information resources. The library specializes in the fields of education, psychology, linguistics or social sciences.

The institute provides teaching in the field of Romance languages, literature and realia. Studies specialize in French, Italian, Portuguese or Spanish language and literature or translation. We are involved in scholarship, research and publishing. We have published handbooks such as dictionaries or history in a nutshell.

The Institute provides teaching in Latin, Classical Philology, Classical and Modern Greek, Latin Medieval Studies and Classical Archaeology. It also specialises in ancient history, Latin language and literature and Mediterranean studies. We are involved in projects and publishing activities.

Teaching sports education. The department includes departments of athletics, gymnastics and dance, swimming sports, sports games, outdoor sports and tourism. In addition, studies specialize in cycling, tourism geography, skiing, swimming, recreationology, or field exercise diagnostics.

The department's primary focus is on the prescription of physical activity as a therapeutic tool for healthy and medically compromised populations. We provide nutritional counseling for faculty students, the public, or recreational and performance athletes. We prepare professionals for the profession of nutrition counseling.
