Offering tours of what was originally a bishop's castle and manor house with extensive gardens. Horšovský Týn was originally a bishop's castle founded before the middle of the 13th century. Operation of the castle. During the tour, visitors will visit the castle chapel of St. Lawrence, the Švamber Hall with a vaulted ceiling, which contains examples of replicas of period weapons and armour, period clothing from the Gothic period, ceramics, glass and also pewter utensils.

The listed building of the pseudo-Gothic chateau has been the seat of the museum since 2002. The pride of the chateau is the Chapel of St. Andrew from the middle of the 19th century with paintings by J. V. Hellich. The chateau includes a 4.8 ha park. The castle houses permanent exhibitions of regional history.

The romantic castle ruins from the 13th century tower over the Berounka River valley. The castle was founded by Jetřich of Krašov in 1232 and over the centuries has had many other owners. Now it is owned by the Association for the Protection of Nature Reserve and Krašov Castle in Kralovice.
