The foundation of the castle dates back to the late Middle Ages, approximately between 1380 and 1390, when Čeněk of Vartemberk took advantage of the natural defensive properties of the basalt rocks. It is possible to organize weddings.

Probably in the 1360s, Czech King Přemysl Otakar II took advantage of the dominant hill above the older manor and built a solid stone castle on it to defend the trade route and against the expansion of the neighbouring families of Ronovec and Markvartice. Tours of the medieval castle. The films The Emperor's Baker and The Baker's Emperor, Adolphe, The Devil Knows Why, The Bell Luke and The Mystery of the Old Bambitka were filmed here. The originally medieval castle, which is mentioned in historical sources from the first half of the 13th century, was one of the first manor castles in our territory.

Get the kids away from the screens and into nature. We offer active suburban camps in the Jizera Mountains with a focus on digital detox and sports. A small collective (max. 20 children) guarantees an individual approach and a profi program full of adventure. Give your child a summer full of exercise and real friendships.

We operate a sports complex with the possibility of renting it to hobby and non-profit organizations, schools and sports clubs. There is a multi-purpose hall with facilities, a bar with outdoor seating, a gallery and a front room with multimedia equipment. There is also a car park.

The Yellow Submarine Turnov has been serving people on their journey through the ocean of leisure for over 30 years. We organize 80-90 regular activities, about 25 camps/year and dozens of other events. We develop originality, cooperation and respect. We are a school facility for leisure education. Our founder is the City of Turnov.
