The library is one of the smaller branches of the KJM and provides basic lending and information services to readers of all ages. It offers a good collection of books, audiobooks, toys and didactic aids, board games, umbrellas and glasses. It organises cultural and educational events or exhibitions for the general public.

The library is one of the main branches of the KJM and has a separate section for children and adult readers. It is located in the building of the famous Kinokavárna. The library actively participates in the events of the Brno-sever municipality and cooperates with local kindergartens, primary schools and schools, offers wi-fi connection, lends e-readers, CDs with spoken word and umbrellas.
