We run a city museum. You can see our permanent exhibition Fishing Tradition in Vodnany, which deals with fishery, painting, fishing studies and research. There are fish specimens and fishing equipment on display. We hold regular exhibitions of the work of photographers and artists.

We offer expositions focused on geological development in the Podkrkonoše Basin or precious stones. It is also possible to see a patrimonial exposition, an exposition of spiritualism and other historical collections.

The museum not only traces the interesting 700+ year history of the town, but above all focuses on the origin, processing and use of slate, which is characteristic of our area.

History of Belsk to the 19th century. The museum was founded at the turn of 1906 and 1907. It was preceded by years of hard work by many amateur and professional enthusiasts, researchers and Czech patriots who had been active in the region since the 19th century.

A permanent exhibition in the cultural centre building offers a glimpse of the film and book-like prehistoric scenery that became a common element in the life and work of E. Storch and K. Zeman.

We operate a museum with an exhibition on the development of the Prague gas industry. The museum has wheelchair access. We exhibit models of production equipment and gasworks, old gas meters, a collection of gas appliances and more.

Visitors can see newly prepared exhibitions dedicated to the history of Holýšov and the history of World War II in Holýšov. The guide through our exhibition is a little boy Johann, who really lived in our farmhouse in the past and experienced the turbulent history of the first half of the 20th century.

The memorial is dedicated to the personality and work of Karel Čapek, Olga Scheinpflug and Ferdinand Peroutka. We organize guided tours for schools. There is also an educational trail of Karel Čapek. In the museum and bistro you can pay in cash and by card.
