Pátek Castle was originally a summer palace built between 1544 and 1557 by John the Younger of Lobkowitz, one of the richest noblemen in the Czech Kingdom. It is one of the first purely Renaissance buildings in Bohemia. Towards the end of the 17th century it was rebuilt in Baroque style and surrounded by a farmyard.

Operation of a municipal theatre. We organize theatrical performances, concerts, balls, corporate presentations or social evenings. Possibility to rent the theatre and four lounges.

In the autumn of 2002, extensive renovation of the entire cultural facility began. A new extension with bar, amphitheatre, new toilet facilities, dressing room and showers for performers. The building is used for concerts, balls, performances, festivals, lectures, and is also used by the town's interest organizations.

The House of Culture can be rented for various cultural and social events. Various weddings, family reunions and birthday parties can be held here. Parking is possible in a separate parking lot.

The Municipal Theatre building, which with its 200 years of existence is one of the oldest theatre buildings in Bohemia, offers a number of theatre performances for children and adults.

We run a gallery of paintings by Gustav Zindel.

We support artistic activities. We sell art objects and organize exhibitions and openings. We create collections of works by regional artists. We run an art atelier focusing on the main art movements. We support underprivileged or excluded children and involve them in artistic activities.

The Liberec Epic is a travelling gallery of large-format paintings by the Processionist group. Ten monumental works were created by collective improvisation with the participation of the public. The exhibition combines painting, music and projection into a unique audiovisual experience.
