We operate an administrative archive.

Collecting and preserving historical documents that bear witness to the past of the metropolis of the Czech Republic from the Middle Ages to the present. We focus on pre-archival care, acquisition, registration, processing and access to archival materials.

We take into archival care and preserve archival materials arising from the official and professional activities of the National Library, the holdings of other institutions, the personal holdings of eminent persons and collections. The fonds and collections are sorted, organized, inventoried and catalogued.
