We are engaged in research and development in the field of experimental medicine. We are a centre for basic biomedical research in the Czech Republic, particularly in the fields of cell biology and pathology, neurophysiology, neuropathology, cancer research and molecular embryology.

We are engaged in research in the field of history and theory of art, aesthetics and architecture. We specialize mainly in Czech art from the early Middle Ages to the present.

We are engaged in exploratory and targeted research of the atmosphere in its entire vertical range. Scientific activities are developed mainly in the directions of boundary layer atmospheric physics, mesosynoptic and applied meteorology, climatology, aeronomy, upper atmosphere physics and ionospheric and magnetospheric physics.

Supplier of modern biotechnology for laboratories.

We are engaged in research on the composition and evolution of inanimate nature. We have a laboratory of analytical methods, environmental geology and geochemistry, geological processes, palaeobiology, palaeoecology and palaeomagnetism.

We are a sociological research organisation. We are devoted to analytical projects mainly in the fields of education, social problems and public policy.

Growing specialty crops. The station serves primarily as a demonstration, teaching and experimental base for the study program of horticulture, primarily for the implementation of professional practice I to II year, as well as for practical teaching of students of bachelor's and master's form of full-time study.
