The museum was renovated in 2023 and opened with a new exhibition. Both historical cribs from the 19th century and contemporary works are on display.

The museum has been housed since 2002 in the listed building of the pseudo-Gothic Hradiště castle. The museum owns a rich archaeological, ethnographic, art and industrial collection. The castle houses permanent exhibitions of regional history and hosts exhibitions and concerts.

The memorial was built in honour of the victims of the Battle of Austerlitz, as intended by the priest and teacher Alois Slovák in fulfilment of his vision to make the centre of the former battlefield. Visitors can use an educational trail. We are also engaged in publishing activities. It is possible to rent a multipurpose hall with a capacity of 120 people.

We offer a mining exposition with a pharation into the mine in the original mining cage, as well as a mining rescue exposition, a surface exposition of mining stamping and quarrying technology, history of mining transport or historical settlement.
