We provide teaching of the subject Nursing in the first and second year of the Master's degree programme in General Medicine and we implement teaching of nursing, psychological and pedagogical disciplines in the Bachelor's degree programme in Nursing in the field of study General Nurse.

The Department provides training for supervisors and managers for middle and senior management in the provision of health and social services. We are engaged in research activities with a focus on applied research in the field of provision of social and health services for the elderly in the Czech Republic.

We provide teaching of subjects in the field of Czech language and communication in bachelor, master and doctoral degree programs. We are engaged in research and publishing activities. We organize professional conferences and workshops.

We provide teaching of prehistoric archaeology, early medieval archaeology or archaeology of the high and late Middle Ages in bachelor, master and doctoral degree programs. We are engaged in research activities with a focus on the older prehistory, younger prehistory, the Middle Ages and the archaeology of Premyslid Bohemia.
