The department focuses on teaching and research in the areas of monetary economics, international trade and finance, probability theory and mathematical statistics.

Providing instruction in technical and combat sports. We teach biathlon, parachuting, paragliding, diving, shooting and traffic education. We are engaged in scientific activities focusing on the theory and didactics of the educational process in sport flying, parachuting, paragliding and shooting.

The institute is significantly involved in teaching undergraduate students in the fields of obesitology, diabetes, physiology and pathophysiology of metabolism and physical medicine, and teaching postgraduate students.

We provide undergraduate and postgraduate training in clinical and experimental hematology. We conduct professional seminars and courses. We are engaged in scientific research activities focusing on the study of the structure and function of platelets and blood proteins involved in haemostasis and thrombosis.

We offer teaching in pathological and clinical physiology, provide undergraduate and postgraduate training and provide laboratory services for molecular pathophysiology and morphology.

We provide instruction in immunology and immunopathology for all majors and faculty programs.

We provide teaching for the Master of General Medicine with a preventive focus and for the Bachelor of Clinical Anatomy.
