Provides teaching of courses in sociology at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels.

We provide teaching in the field of Public and Social Policy in the postgraduate and doctoral study programme.

We provide teaching for postgraduate studies in neuroscience and conduct research activities focusing on membrane properties and functions of glial cells or the origin, mechanisms and pathophysiology of ionic changes in the extracellular space as well as studies in transgenic animals.

We provide library and bibliographic information services. We offer support for the presentation of the results of scientific research activities of the staff of the 3rd Faculty of Medicine of Charles University. We provide reprographic, research and reference services for students and faculty staff. We provide consulting and advisory services.

The faculty provides bachelor's, master's and doctoral study programs in the humanities in full-time and combined form.
