Teaching physics and the fundamentals of optoelectronics, providing courses in measurement in the laboratory, and the use of computers in physics. We offer undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs in full-time or combined form, including the possibility of taking a preparatory course in physics.

The Institute is the guarantor of the two-year follow-up Master's degree programme in Economics and Management of the study field of Corporate Finance and Business. The aim of the programme is to train highly qualified professionals with a broad perspective in the field of finance and business in the corporate and banking spheres.

The institute provides bachelor, master and doctoral studies in the fields of energy or fluid engineering, thermomechanics and environmental engineering. Courses in thermomechanics and hydromechanics are mandatory for all students of the faculty.

The institute provides teaching in the fields of Construction Realization, Construction Management and Construction Materials Engineering. It is focused on the areas of construction process technology, construction machinery and mechanisation in construction, pre-production and production preparation of construction, planning and management of construction implementation.

The institute provides teaching in the undergraduate degree programme in the compulsory subjects of Geology, Soil Mechanics, Building Foundation, Rock Mechanics and Underground Construction. In the follow-up Master's degree programme in Construction and Transportation Engineering, it provides the compulsory course Earth Structures.

The institute provides compulsory and non-compulsory teaching of foreign languages (English, German, Russian, French) for bachelor, master and combined studies. It also provides language training for PhD students in the above-mentioned languages. The classrooms of the Institute of Languages are fully equipped with multimedia equipment.

Operation of computer laboratories, local and faculty computer network, servers and information system. We cooperate with the Centre of Computer and Information Services of the BUT and we also participate in a number of activities. We manage electronic mail, websites and virtual studio networks.

Classes in the history of building construction, the production of technical documentation, civil engineering, thermal engineering of buildings, acoustics and daylighting of buildings. Graduates of the civil engineering program possess all the appropriate knowledge profiling a civil engineer.
