The institute provides programmes in the field of education in economics for a wider range of students and combined programmes aimed at closer integration of economic disciplines with the fields of natural and technical sciences developed at the faculties of the University of Science and Technology in Prague.

Provides theoretical basis for chemical process control, production of organic and inorganic chemicals, pharmaceutical and petrochemical products. Conducts experiments in the areas of chemical reactions, electrochemistry, state behaviour, thermodynamics, phase equilibrium, kinetics and colloid chemistry.

The center provides instruction for students in bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree programs. It provides students with professional activities and industrial practice. It organises third role activities such as lifelong learning, university of the third age, information and counselling services.

The institute provides teaching in the field of organic technology. It offers bachelor, master and doctoral degree programmes. It deals with the fundamentals of pharmacology, research and development of pharmaceuticals as well as quality assurance of technological processes or design and optimization of industrial apparatus.

Laboratory collecting inorganic materials. Collaborates with domestic and foreign departments and publishes scientific publications. Researches melting processes and their modelling, special glasses for photonics and materials for dental applications.

The institute provides instruction in the chemical technology of monument restoration. It offers bachelor, master and doctoral degree programs. It deals with research on inorganic and organic materials and various professional projects.

The institute provides teaching in the field of polymers. Offers bachelor, master and doctoral degree programmes. Conducts research in the thermal analysis laboratory. It publishes scientific scripts, scientific papers, monographs, posters and proceedings and organises lectures.
