Offering courses in physical education that complement, deepen and broaden the skills, knowledge and qualifications of participants. We provide preparation of sports activities for the general public with the aim of relaxation, rest, fun as well as getting fit and promoting health.

We are engaged in research and development activities in the field of computer technology. We specialize in research or development in the areas of digital libraries, healthware, large-scale distributed systems, and multimedia processing. We provide services in the deployment of information and communication technologies.

We offer teaching in the field of constitutional law and political science. We teach introduction to state science, basics of the political system of the Czech Republic, international legal protection of human rights, constitutional foundations of public power and its organization or law-making for public administration.

The institute provides teaching in theoretical physics, astrophysics and physics education. It also specialises in geometric methods, mathematical foundations of physical variational theories, mechanics and molecular physics, linear algebra and geometry or quantum physics of atomic systems.

Teaching medical biophysics to students in medical degree courses, undergraduate studies in basic physics, biophysics, bioenergetics, and graduate studies in medical instrumentation. We also provide preparatory courses focusing on basic concepts, laws of motion, gravitational fields or kinetic energy.

Teaching in the field of psychology and psychosomatics. Study specialises in psychotherapeutic techniques in midwifery, psychotherapy and applied psychology, sociology, health communication or psychosomatics in dentistry.

Teaching the folk culture of the Czech Republic in the context of theoretical and methodological currents in Europe, study of ethno-cultural relations and contexts in Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe. We conduct field research focused on the ethnographic regions of Moravia and southern Wallachia.

The department provides instruction in German language, literature and the realities of German-speaking countries. It also specialises in teaching assistantships in German language and literature for primary schools, foreign language teaching or teaching for primary and language schools. Provides professional practice.

The institute provides teaching in the field of archaeology and museology. The study focuses mainly on the early and high Middle Ages, the Moravian Neolithic and the application of computer technology in archaeology. We carry out field research dealing with site studies using GIS or interdisciplinary studies.

We offer teaching in the field of administrative science and administrative law. We specialize in administrative procedural law, selected issues of administrative law and public administration, guarantees of legality, the right to information and protection of personal data, the law of local government or judicial review.

The department provides teaching in economic theory, national economy, economic policy, administration and European economic, administrative and cultural studies. The study specializes in general economic theory, world economics, economic policy, and the history of economic theory.

Operation of an administrative archive. Providing care for archival records arising from the University's activities. The archive acquires the personal funds of important scientific and pedagogical personalities or the written estates of Otakar Borůvka, František Trávníček, Ferdinand Herčík, Josef Šafařík, František Weyr and Vladislav Kruta.
