Offering instruction in legal theory and legal history. The aim of the study is to deepen and develop the prerequisites for scientific and pedagogical work. Students will deepen their knowledge of basic legal concepts, institutions, categories, and related legal phenomena. The broader scientific basis of the field is state science.

Teaching in the field of anthropology with a focus on skeletal anthropology, paleodermatoglyphics, anthropology of sexuality, art, death, and civil society. We specialize in a transdisciplinary science linking biological, medical, and cultural studies to the understanding of people and society.

The institute provides teaching in general linguistic disciplines, general and comparative linguistics. The study focuses on Lithuanian, Finnish, Latvian and Estonian. We provide courses in Japanese culture and society or lectures and seminars on history, literature and religion.

Independent research institute focusing on the study of issues related to the political, social, economic and legal development of society. The institute contributes to the cultivation and development of political science, international relations and European studies. It organises conferences, seminars and lectures.

Providing teaching of basic chemistry disciplines for students of bachelor studies with a focus on chemistry, biology, geology and physics and for students of chemistry teaching. The department conducts research in the areas of nitrogen, fluorine, phosphorus, sulphur, selenium and hafnium compounds or molecular structure.

The Centre operates as a university library with access to library collections and integrated electronic and multimedia information resources.

The department provides teaching for future teachers of mathematics and applied mathematics. Part of the study is teaching practice in schools. We focus on the problems of teaching mathematics in primary schools and studying mathematics. The study also deals with the care of pupils with learning disabilities, handicapped or talented pupils.

We offer tuition in the history of the state and law, European legal history and modern legal history. We specialize in Roman law, Czech and Czechoslovak legal history of the modern period, the history of Czech public administration, Roman law influences in domestic legal development or the legal regulation of the possession of weapons.

Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in theatre theory and history. We conduct research on ancient drama and theatre, medieval theatre, Czech translations of William Shakespeare, Czech drama and drama theatre, or trends in modern and postmodern scenography.

Teaching practical English language with a focus on translation, linguistics, methodology, literature and culture of English-speaking countries. We specialize in publishing in both English and Czech. We carry out scientific activities, research and development activities and work on development projects.

The department provides teaching in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation. It specializes in pathology, rehabilitation in nursing, occupational therapy, kinesiology, clinical physiology, anthropomotorics or applied neurophysiology. She is also interested in the methodology of motor skill development.

Seminary provides instruction in art history. Teaching specializes in a center for early medieval studies, a research center for the history of Central Europe, or the art and culture of early modern Moravia. We publish the journal Seminars in Art History. We cooperate with galleries or art museums.
