The Palacký University Archives in Olomouc is a specialized accredited workplace. The research room offers the academic community and the public the opportunity to study written and pictorial materials. Archival acquisitions are registered annually in the electronic database PEVA.

We deal with the receipt, storage and treatment of documents of liquidated and operating entities. We prepare shredding proposals with the opinion of the relevant state archives and carry out shredding.

The Archives supervises the methodological management of the Central General Records Office and manages the museum collections housed in the old headquarters building.

The Prague Castle Archive at the Office of the President of the Republic was established in 1920. The department concentrates written material and documentation relating to the Castle, its history, research, construction, repair and maintenance. The basis is made up of historical documents that originated from the activities of the offices administering Prague Castle.
