The University Archives is a collection of historical documentation from the founding of the University in 1919 to the present day. We provide professional oversight of the records management and pre-archival care. We provide research services.

We collect, process and make available all materials on contemporary art. We archive invitations, posters, press releases, texts of photographs, multimedia media and more.

The archives focuses on processing archival materials arising from the activities of important figures in veterinary medicine. It provides publication activities concerning events and personalities of veterinary medicine, cooperation and organization of exhibitions, conferences and seminars.

We provide preservation and access to archival materials arising from the activities of the city and other municipalities of the Ostrava district. We facilitate the study of publications and operate a digital research room. We organize exhibitions.

Supervision of the performance of the filing service at the departments under the control of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.
