The family house of the writer Karel Jaromír Erben houses his memorial, founded in 1811. The interior consists of period furniture, family heirlooms and watercolours to Erben's ballads by R. Švajdler.

Visitors can see an exhibition presenting the existence of the Jewish community in Podorlicek. In one of the local Jewish families in Rychnov n. K., the writer and journalist Karel Poláček, author of the book There Were Five of Us, was born in 1892.

We operate the first and only museum in the world with the graphic works of Michael Heinrich Rentz (1698-1758), who lived and worked in Kuks from 1722 and is one of the European masters of Baroque book illustration.
