It conducts research in the fields of history for Central Europe and engages in projects focused on modern history and innovation studies.

Preparation of future teachers of general education subjects of a technical nature. The study specialises in the management of computer technology and advice on its use for other teachers, the creation of the school's website, the publication of the school magazine or the management of technical extra-curricular activities.

The department provides teaching of English language, literature and realities of English-speaking countries. Specializes in teaching for elementary and language schools, tutoring, teaching assistantships and lifelong learning.

Teaching anatomy with a focus on neuroanatomy and medical anthropology. The course specializes in the study of neural pathways and other morphological aspects of nervous system function and regeneration. It also deals with anthropological analysis or paleopathological examination.

The laboratory is devoted to research on molecular physiology of plants and analysis of biologically significant molecular complexes. It also specialises in the molecular basis of cellular and tissue regulation or plant hormones. We use biological, biochemical, biophysical and genetic techniques for our research.

The Institute provides teaching of geological and related natural and social science disciplines and scientific research and development in selected areas of geology. Research also specialises in igneous and transformed rocks, geochemistry and hydrogeology, engineering building materials or geoarchaeology and the Quaternary.

The center builds and operates hardware and software facilities for educational, research and administrative activities. It implements the concept of development of information and communication technologies and audiovisual equipment. It ensures the administration and development of the computer network and servers.
