Department preserves cultures of bacteria and fungi for basic and applied research, industrial use, biotechnology and teaching. Research focuses on the taxonomy of Gram-positive and Gram-negative rods or cocci, aquatic hyphomycetes. The collection contains strains of bacteria and filamentous fungi.

Teaching pharmacology with a focus on medical and clinical pharmacology, behavioural pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, pharmacogenetics and medicinal plants.

The Institute specialises in the technological fields of law and legal science. It is engaged in teaching, research and expert activities such as information and communication technology law and specific production, legal informatics, technology law. It publishes an English language scholarly journal.

The department provides instruction in biochemistry and biomolecular chemistry.

We prepare future teachers of civic education and basic social sciences. The study focuses on social sciences from philosophy to economics. We also specialize in philosophical areas such as ethics, ontology, bioethics, philosophical anthropology and human ecology or political science.

We offer instruction in substantive and procedural criminal law, basic criminalistics, criminology, penology and forensic anthropology. We specialize in the legal aspects of professional texts, law against domestic violence, project management or criminal science. We organize seminars and training courses.

We provide training in radiological methods. Study specialises in nuclear medicine, magnetic resonance imaging, X-ray topographic anatomy or technical and regulatory issues relating to ionising radiation. It also deals with computed tomography and digital radiology.

We offer a real hospital environment for learning. We are built like a real hospital with facilities for modern teaching methods and equipped with medical technology, especially simulators and teaching models for practicing real situations.

Teaching of Bachelor's degree courses in biology or Master's degree courses in systematic biology and ecology and teaching of biology for secondary schools. The study specializes in problems of systematics and evolution of organisms, ecology, biogeography, methods of biological and ecological disciplines, or didactics of biology.

Teaching in physiology with a focus on the electrophysiology of the heart cell, the physiology of blood circulation regulation in humans and the neurophysiology of behaviour. We also specialise in general and dental medicine, physiotherapy, biomedical technology, optometry or nutritional therapy.
