The department provides teaching in environmental studies and environmental humanities. The study specializes in issues from a social science perspective. It aims to understand the basic knowledge of the natural, historical and cultural sources of environmental crisis.

The department provides teaching of business economics and management. The profiling subjects are related to the areas of management, marketing, human resources development, logistics and psychology. The subjects taught enable students to understand the activities of an enterprise in all their interdependence.

The department provides instruction in music education and theory, applied music semiotics and semantics. Specializes in the composition and performance of contemporary music. We carry out scientific, professional activities focused on music sociology, axiology or aesthetics. We publish study texts, textbooks and monographs.

We offer instruction in civil, private, family, procedural and business law and other areas of law. We specialize in administrative and correspondence techniques, clerical work in court, substantive and procedural civil law or the legal aspects of business.

The Institute provides Czech language studies for future secondary school teachers and those interested in working in various educational and scientific institutions or in the media. Teaching specialises in the history and theory of Czech literature, children's literature or the didactics of Czech language and literature.

The Institute provides teaching in the field of physics with a focus on condensed matter physics. It also specializes in applied optics, vibrational spectroscopy of biopolymers, structural biology, correlated electron systems, radiation biophysics and radiobiology or biomedical ethics.

The department provides instruction in international relations and European studies with special emphasis on the analysis and theoretical aspects of the issues studied. Graduates of the course can find employment in a number of professional fields such as analytical workplaces or research and teaching in universities.

The institute provides instruction in theoretical and applied psychology, offering programs in clinical, counseling or occupational psychology. We conduct neuropsychological research and are involved in an international comparative study of risky behavior in college students. We carry out publishing activities.
