The institute provides teaching in the field of Romance languages, literature and realia. Studies specialize in French, Italian, Portuguese or Spanish language and literature or translation. We are involved in scholarship, research and publishing. We have published handbooks such as dictionaries or history in a nutshell.

Teaching in the field of medical ethics pays attention to the theoretical examination of the basic ethical problems of contemporary medicine. The study focuses on ethical aspects in geriatrics, the work of the nutritional therapist, dentistry or intensive care.

Teaching sports education. The department includes departments of athletics, gymnastics and dance, swimming sports, sports games, outdoor sports and tourism. In addition, studies specialize in cycling, tourism geography, skiing, swimming, recreationology, or field exercise diagnostics.

Teaching is specialised in the field of law by introducing methods linking legal dogma with practice. We deal with field practice, academic writing, contract formulation, hypotheses, clause examination or implementation of professional subjects in foreign languages. We strive to connect theory and practice.

The department provides teaching of Russian language, literature and realities. The study specializes in teaching for primary and language schools, foreign language teaching or pedagogical assistantship of Russian language and literature. We offer language courses, exchange programs or foreign internships.

The department provides teaching in political science and security and strategic studies. It emphasizes comparative studies and the field of comparative political science. We provide expertise in electoral systems, Czech politics, interest groups and social movements, or political philosophy and theory.

The department provides instruction in mathematical analysis.

Teaching history of philosophy, basic ethics and logic, 20th century philosophy, systematic philosophy. The department focuses on ontology and gnoseology, philosophy of society and science. It also provides teaching in the field of teaching the foundations of social sciences for secondary schools. It is engaged in research activities.

Offering instruction in legal theory and legal history. The aim of the study is to deepen and develop the prerequisites for scientific and pedagogical work. Students will deepen their knowledge of basic legal concepts, institutions, categories, and related legal phenomena. The broader scientific basis of the field is state science.
