The department provides, apart from scientific activities, also teaching of professional forestry subjects for bachelor and master courses in both full-time and combined form of study. Lectures and exercises are conducted in both Czech and English.
Teaching of subjects on livestock breeding and their use. Increased attention is paid to practical teaching, in which the form of independent work of students is chosen, in selected subjects to the processing of projects and education of students to teamwork.
Teaching students in the field of economic sciences. In the structure of basic and elective courses provided by the department there are permanent changes towards strengthening the section of general business, orientation on the issues of EU integration, globalization, etc.
The mission of the department is teaching and research in the fields of internal combustion engines, transport engineering, vehicle mechanisms and driving characteristics of vehicles and mobile machines working in automotive transport, agriculture, forestry and construction.
The department covers a wide range of subjects in microbiology, biotechnology, pedobiology, animal nutrition and feeding, human nutrition, dietetics with feed science.
The department is dedicated to teaching and research in zoology and fisheries and specialized subjects and research areas related to these fields. Teaching activities include a basic course in zoology and a number of specialised courses.
Growing specialty crops. The station serves primarily as a demonstration, teaching and experimental base for the study program of horticulture, primarily for the implementation of professional practice I to II year, as well as for practical teaching of students of bachelor's and master's form of full-time study.
The department focuses on teaching, research and consulting activities in the areas of applied electrical engineering, electrical drives, electrical power engineering, electrical measurements, systems modeling and simulation, automation, robotics and flexible manufacturing systems.
