The department provides a four-year Master's degree in acting, directing and dramaturgy, as well as a three-year Bachelor's degree in directing and dramaturgy and a follow-up two-year Master's degree. The basic principle of pedagogical activity is the traditional theatrical language of the European type of drama.

The study is conducted in two full-fledged levels of education, namely the three-year Bachelor's degree and the two-year Master's degree. The department provides training for future professionals for management functions and management in film, television, advertising and the cultural field in general.

The chamber music cabinet allows students to get acquainted with the works of Viennese classical composers, Czech composers, representatives of the musical baroque and contemporary works.

The department provides teaching of animation in three-year Bachelor and two-year Master studies. The course of study focuses on the education of independent creative practitioners of classic, hand-crafted animation.

The department provides undergraduate and graduate level instruction in dance with a focus on modern, classical and folk dance, choreography and dance science. It also provides instruction for the doctoral program with a focus in dance science, choreography and choreographic theory, and nonverbal theatre.

The aim of the lessons is to train soloists and chamber players in multipercussion as well as timpanists or melodic percussionists. The lessons devote space to the marimba, vibraphone and other melodic instruments. The department allows for individual student focus.

The department teaches a three-year bachelor's degree and a two-year follow-up master's degree in directing and screenwriting film craft with emphasis on the specifics of documentary thinking and feeling.

The cabinet assists in the acquisition of technology and physical fitness. Provides instruction in movement disciplines such as training, dance, stage movement and acrobatics. The cabinet also teaches electives such as fencing, tap and flamenco.

The department provides three-year Bachelor's and two-year Master's degree courses. The study is aimed at training independent creative workers, sound masters and sound directors, for the whole field of sound production, namely for film, TV, radio, theatre and other sound workplaces.
