The course of study consists of a three-year Bachelor's degree and a follow-up two-year elective Master's degree. It is directed towards the development of the student's conceptual camera work, which is the result of a creative intention. The department provides a cameraman's erudition.

The Foundation provides support for the artistic and educational activities of members of the academic community of the Faculty of Music and activities related to these activities. This includes support to underwrite specific artistic and pedagogical projects, to cover expenses associated with student participation in competitions.

The department provides teaching of three-year Bachelor and two-year Master of Arts in Theory and Criticism. It is the supervisor of the doctoral studies in the theory of theatre production. It also offers teaching in the historical and theoretical basis of the Academy's disciplines.
