The department provides a three-year Bachelor's degree and a follow-up two-year Master's degree with a focus on music theory, directing and management. Graduates of the academy later work as modern producers, artist managers, and intendants in theatre, opera, and orchestra.

The Cabinet provides graduate studies in teaching speaking technique, stage speech, singing, artistic delivery, melodrama, dubbing and radio acting. It develops the psychosomatic prerequisites of vocal and speech expression.

Training future producers, managers and independent producers to work in theatres, acting companies, cultural and artistic agencies. The three-year undergraduate and two-year graduate program provides an orientation in economics and law with emphasis on application in arts operations.

The department provides teaching in the field of keyboard instruments in bachelor, postgraduate and doctoral degree programmes. Teaching focuses on piano, organ and harpsichord.

The department provides instruction in the field of wind instruments with a focus on clarinet, bassoon, oboe, trombone and tuba. It also teaches horn, flute and trumpet. It organizes the school's concert activities in chamber ensembles, orchestras and solo performances.

The chamber music cabinet allows students to get acquainted with the works of Viennese classical composers, Czech composers, representatives of the musical baroque and contemporary works.

The department provides three-year undergraduate and two-year postgraduate singing tuition. The aim of the studies is to acquire, under the guidance of teachers, the ability to control one's voice in classical singing or to become a professional in the field of opera direction. It provides the opportunity to take advantage of the ERASMUS programme.

The library collection consists of books, scripts, theses and periodicals. We provide the opportunity to watch study videotapes and work on computers. Copying, printing and scanning services are offered.

The department provides teaching of three-year Bachelor and two-year Master of Arts in Theory and Criticism. It is the supervisor of the doctoral studies in the theory of theatre production. It also offers teaching in the historical and theoretical basis of the Academy's disciplines.

The cabinet assists in the acquisition of technology and physical fitness. Provides instruction in movement disciplines such as training, dance, stage movement and acrobatics. The cabinet also teaches electives such as fencing, tap and flamenco.
