We organize expositions of the building development of the Volyn fortress and offer regional, local history and art exhibitions. We also exhibit postcards, puppets and photographs.

The Blatná City Museum is located in the historic centre of Blatná in a pink building at 212 Míru Square near the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and near the Blatná Castle. The more modern history of horse breeding in Písek began in 1902, when breeding stallions were placed in the newly built stud farm, but the first mention of a stallion station dates back to 1811. The stud farm in Písek is a unique building and breeding facility, a national cultural monument since 2010.

We operate a permanent exhibition. We exhibit the Art Nouveau symbolist work of František Bílek, which has a direct relation to Chýnov. The works refer to the national spiritual tradition of the Czech nation. These include two designs for unrealised monuments: models of the National Monument for Bílá Hora and the Jan Žižka Monument for Vítkov.
