The institute provides physical education classes.

We provide teaching of subjects related to anthropology and human genetics in undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs. We conduct research in the areas of evolution, bioarchaeology, ecology, taphonomy or variation and adaptability of human traits in the past.

We provide teaching of Old and New Testament, scripture and biblical theology or Latin and Greek.

The studio also offers a doctoral program in forensic engineering in both full-time and combined forms of study. The Institute organises courses in forensic engineering and publishes the journal Forensic Engineering.

The Institute provides teaching of the Bachelor's degree in Public Administration and Social Policy in the form of full-time and combined studies, which is accredited until 2020. The follow-up Master's degree in Public Administration and Social Policy can only be studied full-time.

The Cabinet is a workplace for theoreticians who have fallen under the spell of design, film, photography, architecture, low and high expressions of visual culture and art. As teachers, they teach courses in theoretical foundations and introduce students to visual studies.

The institute provides training in glass and ceramics. It offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral programmes. It deals with research on inorganic binders, structure of materials, theory of heterogeneous materials and chemistry and technology of glass. It cooperates with research institutions or industrial partners.

We are engaged in research and teaching activities in the fields of corporate finance, banking, public finance, international trade theory in the context of the transformation of the Czech economy in comparison with other countries of Central and Eastern Europe. We also conduct research in the field of privatisation process analysis.

The department provides teaching in the field of substantive and procedural criminal law, forensic medicine or medical law.

The department is dedicated to teaching and research in zoology and fisheries and specialized subjects and research areas related to these fields. Teaching activities include a basic course in zoology and a number of specialised courses.
