The Office issues decisions on granting a licence, on suspension of the practice of a trade, maintains the trade register and accepts applications for registration or notifications in relation to the tax office or notifications of vacancies or their filling in relation to the employment office.
The department deals with the administration and management of the city. We take care of keeping the city's accounts and other accounts, preparing and processing the budget and budget measures, registering property, investments and liabilities or land or preparing statistical statements and reports.
The office handles the city's construction and legal activities. It issues building permits, zoning permits, permits to remove a structure or alter a structure prior to completion, and permits for minor alterations. It carries out building approvals, including early use permits. It also issues building closure decisions.
The office provides civil registry and population registration. It records civil registry events, births, marriages, deaths and issues extracts from civil registry books. It processes applications for citizenship certificates. It verifies civil registration documents from the registers of the relevant municipal authorities.
Management of the city's economy. We provide work on the preparation of the draft budget, monitor and evaluate its implementation, arrange activities related to the financing of the city district or contributory organizations.
The department deals with fire fighting and other security leading to the safe running of the city and its surroundings. It also takes care of fire prevention and education of children in fire and public protection.
Ensures the performance of the function of the Mayor of the City of Prague, the corresponding social protocol and other activities related to the performance of this function.
We provide administration, agenda and financing. We deal with registry activities, verify copies of documents and authenticity of signatures and record losses and finds. We deal with complaints from citizens.
Providing round-the-clock services to Department employees in the event of an emergency or crisis. We implement measures to deal with crisis situations related to national defence. We ensure the evacuation of persons from the threatened area. We also deal with sheltering the population of the administrative district.
The Department issues in particular binding opinions for the maintenance, repair, reconstruction, restoration or other alteration of cultural monuments or their settings, binding opinions for proposed construction, landscaping, siting or removal of equipment, removal of structures, alteration of trees or maintenance work.
